New Zealand's search for security 1945-1985

NZHistory.net.nz has a number of resources and activities to support those studying the Level 1 NCEA theme 'New Zealand's Search for Security 1945-1985'.

New Zealand's quest for security and prosperity in this period was centred on three broad questions:

Achievement standards

These topics will help schools looking for suitable contexts for achievement standards 1.1 Carry out an historical investigation and 1.2 Communicate historical ideas.

There are also excellent historical documents (see the Media Galleries) that can be used as practice for achievement standard 1.3 interpreting historical sources.
