Programme cover advertising a screening of the play Dandy Dick at the Wellington Opera House, 21 March 1900. This event was organised by the Wellington More Men Fund to raise money for the South African War.
At the top right of the cover are the Maori words: 'Poneke Ah, Hi! Poneke, Ah, Hi! Awi Awi Kua Kiti, Hi, Ha' (Wellington! Wellington! Help! Help! Fill our kit). The programme was printed by the Evening Post.
