HMS Achilles' ship's badge. This was designed in England by Major C.J.
ffoulkes (1868-1947) and approved on 20 July 1931. The badge bears the helmeted head of
Achilles on a red background and the motto Fortiter in Re, meaning either
'unyielding in action' or 'bravely in action'.
