Lieutenant-General 'Harry' Chauvel, the Australian commander of the Desert Mounted Corps, rides through Damascus, escorted by a squadron of the 2nd Australian Light Horse Regiment, October 1918. Chauvel is followed by units representing his three cavalry divisions, including men from the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, India and France.
