Hi Stephen
Here is a biography of the Coopers from the DNZB. As you can see there is no evidence that Martha Cooper had any children of her own. Regards, Jamie Mackay
What do I know? I know my dad was born north of Wellington, to an Ellsie Cooper (so the birthcert says!) in 1924 (a good/ bad guess?) His name is Gearld Cooper. I know he ended up in a workhouse at a very young age (what happened to the parents) and he believes his mother left for Australia.
Never knew who my grandparents were, and looking at this leaves me thinking I might not want too! If he was with them they wouldn't be his parents anyway. I have a photo of a couple he believes are his parents. She looks like Martha, he doesn't?
Who is the best person I could talk to about this case? Sincerely Stephen
