HMNZS Otago

HMNZS Otago, a Rothesay-class anti-submarine frigate, was built in 1961. In 1972 it took part in a high profile protest over French atmospheric nuclear testing off Mururoa Atoll.

Oh no ... I spend ages telling people that its "HMNZS Otago" ... NOT
"The HMNZS Otago".

One can accept happily "the USS Clamclopper" but (say) "The HMS Snowdrop" would likewise stick in the craw.
Or am I just showing my age?

Otherwise lovely clean crisp and great site~!
