31 May 1840Sheet 8 — The Cook Strait (Henry Williams) Sheet

Henry Williamsand Octavius Hadfield visited Whanganui a second time in the Ariel. The missionary Octavious Hadfield witnessed the signatures with Williams. On 31 May four more Te Āti Haunui-a-Pāpārangi added their signatures to the Cook Strait (Henry Williams) copy of the Treaty of Waitangi. Their signatures were witnessed by both Williams and Hadfield. All of these signatories signed next to their names with detailed markings.
