Kayforce training in NZ

The 1950 National Film Unit newsreel K-force shows an early contingent of Kayforce carrying out artillery training at Waiōuru. Kayforce was the New Zealand contingent that served in Korea. The battery is shown training on 25-pounder guns, the standard weapon of the New Zealand artillery in the Second World War. The film also shows emotional scenes as Kayforce troops are farewelled by loved ones as they leave for Korea.
