Erebus disaster investigation - part 3

Video footage compiled at the time of the Erebus disaster, largely relating to Operation Overdue. This segment relates to how the work and the people of Scott Base have been affected by the crash, the difficulties of recovering bodies from the site and whether or not they should have been left there. It includes interviews with Bob Thomson, superintendent of the Antarctic Division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ron Chippindale, Chief Inspector of Air Accidents, Office of Air Accidents Investigation, Inspector Bob Mitchell of the New Zealand Police who headed the body recovery operation in Antarctica and a mountaineer involved in the body recovery.
