New Zealand soldiers visit the Colosseum

A group of New Zealand soldiers on leave after the Second World War take a sightseeing trip to the Colosseum in Rome. This tour, on 6 November 1945, was organised by the New Zealand Forces Club. Because of the limited availability of shipping after the war, demobilising New Zealand's forces in Italy was a slow process that was not completed until February 1946.
