Maheno on trials in Scotland

The Maheno going full speed on trials in Scotland in 1905. In service no engineer would have allowed that amount of smoke!

Built by Scottish shipbuilders William Denny & Co, the Maheno served as a trans-Tasman liner before being converted into a hospital ship during the First World War.
