Kaitāia School roll of honour showing names of ex-pupils who served in the First World War.
In October 1919 the Northland Age reported that the memorial roll of hpnour was being made by Messrs Winks & Hall, woodwork specialists of Auckland, at a cost of £23 9s. It was unveiled on Anzac Day 1920 by Councillor H.B. Matthews following a parade at the Agricultural Ground (now the A&P Grounds). The roll hung at the school beside a large photograph of the late head teacher, Lieutenant J.J. Bishop, who was killed at Passchendaele. The roll is now in the Far North Museum (Te Ahu).
