North Auckland's (Northland's) most capped player, Joe Morgan (with ball), bursts upfield against Manawatu at Palmerston North, 23 August 1980. Manawatu won the game 25-13.
A midfield back, Morgan first played for North Auckland as a 21-year-old in 1967. By the time of his final appearance in 1981, aged 36, he had turned out in 165 matches for the province.
