A wooden memorial tablet in the Haumoan hall headed ‘Haumoana Roll of Honour’ lists 90 men from the area who saw active service during the Second World War. The names of 15 of them are marked with a cross. This tablet was evidently unveiled sometime before the opening of Haumoana War Memorial Park in 1956.
