Christchurch memorial oak

Plaque under the oak

Memorial oak tree and plaque in the Park of Remembrance in central Christchurch.

The oak was planted in 1924 and grew from an acorn sent back from Gallipoli in 1918 by Lieutenant Douglas Deans.
