Bill Osborne cuts through the Western Province defence during the 1976 All Black tour to South Africa. He played in 14 of the 24 matches on this tour.
A powerful midfield back, Osborne was born and bred in Whanganui, and made his senior provincial debut for his home union in 1973, four days after his 18th birthday. He played the first of his 16 tests for the All Blacks at Eden Park against Scotland in 1975.
