Farming locality 23km south-west of Oamaru. The 9000ha estate here was taken up by Tasmanian, Colonel Joseph Cowie Nichols, who built the stone farm buildings now surrounded by tall trees. Following the First World War, Colonel Nichols collected a variety of field guns which are now mounted around the local war memorial.
