Hi guys,
Hope someone can help me with this question, I guess it fits into the history catagory so here goes... How common would it be to have a birth certificate which states that both parents are maori of full blood, is this a recording which would be common to birth certificates in the 1940/1950 period? Back in the 80's it was said (can't quote from where??) that there were very few full blood maori left and if so, does that mean that birth certificates that have this recorded are inaccurate???

BTL: In an attempt to locate a death certificate I was told by BDM that it is possible that a death occuring in the mid-late 40's would not be registered which leads me to believe that inaccurate recordings are possible. Thoughts/ideas/answers appreciated. Wink
