Note about the Boyd memorial from Lynton Diggle, Dec 2007: 'The memorial to the sacking and burning of the Boyd in 1809 was a brass plaque situated on the Whangaroa big game fishing club building in Whangaroa harbour. Unfortunately in recent months this has been stolen.'
