This photograph "Two POWs in the library at Stalag VIIIA, near Gorlitz in Germany" shows my father, Etienne ("Steve") Lavoipierre, on the left with his foot up on the chair. He ran the library in the camp. He was with the South African forces, the Transvaal Scottish, and was captured by the Italians at Sidi Rezegh in 1941. They spent some time at a camp in central Italy near Rapallo before being moved to this Stalag camp. He had several NZ and Aussie friends in the camp. I would love to have a copy of this photo.

What do you know?
