Carol Moore (nee Adams)
To my delight I have been reading about the Captain Cook. I was 14 when I arrived in NZ on the Captain Cook in 1958. We arrived in Wellington Harbour from Glasgow. I did not travel well on the voyage and still recall the smells and sounds of the trip. We were issued with salt tablets each day and my father who was in a separate cabin to my mother, younger brother and I, survived on bread rolls and cheese being a fussy eater. My brother won 1st prize in a fancy dress costume as a menu of the Captain Cook, still have the photos. I recall a passenger being transferred from the Hobson to our ship for hospital treatment I believe. Do you know of any Captain Cook reunions? Anyone from that period living near Wellington?
