Dunedin railway station

Look no further for evidence of the prominence and prestige of rail in early 20th-century New Zealand. Dunedin’s spectacular station, designed by Railways Department architect ‘Gingerbread’ George Troup, celebrated its centenary with great fanfare in October 2006.

It was your Great Grandfather White that helped with the building and it was his horse that is buried under the clock

hi I'm graham mccreath and I've been told, my grandfather L.J McCREATH helped build the clocktower in dunedin and they used horse and one of his team of horses died and was burried under the clocktower.
