There is an article in today's Piako Post (Fairfax Media) concerning F E Hughes (my grandfather) compiled by George Armstrong who is putting together information for the Manawaru Historical group. My grandfather was recognised as being one of the top New Zealanders in the drainage & soil field and was involved in getting "rehab" farms for many WW1 veterans.
