On this page you will find a list of the main rock music festivals held in New Zealand between 1970 and 2010. Where possible, we have provided the name, location and date of each festival, along with any major acts that played there. Hi there. The date for Rippon Festival has always been the first Saturday of February (even Febs only since 2000), not always 6th Feb. Rippon dates have so far been: 6 Feb 1998; 6 Feb 1999; 5 Feb 2000; 2 Feb 2002; 7 Feb 2004; 4 Feb 2006; 2 Feb 2008; 6 Feb 2010, 4 Feb 2012, 1 Feb 2014 (upcoming). Thank you.

FYI, My page on the Randwick date. http://sladestory.blogspot.com/1973/01/randwick-racecourse-sydney-australia.html Oz Musicians Union forced local support groups into the tour. Buffalo & Blackfeather took part in Oz along with Color Radio 4 IP.

Te Rapa 'international rock festival' took place on 27th January 1973. Hi, I'm trying to find out about the Rainbow Festival held in Masterton in 1982. This site appears the only one that acknowledges it's existance. Do you have any more info or could I be pointed in the right direction. Cheers
