3.4 Examine a significant decision made by people in history, in an essay

This standard involves writing an essay describing factors that contributed to a significant decision made in an historical setting, evaluating the decision, and recognising historical narratives in relation to the decision. In this instance the significant decision involves migration to New Zealand. Primary resources will support this feature. In the meantime, see the related feature on NZHistory.net.nz and a History of immigration and Immigration regulation on Te Ara - The Encyclopedia of New Zealand.
