For the record the "E PINER" inscribed on the Cenotaph for the The Great War 1914-1918, refers to "Ernest PINER", my uncle. His brothers - Richard PINER and my father, Edward PINER, all from Annat, also served in this conflict. The M J SEARLE, inscribed on the plaque for World War II 1939-1945, is Mervyn John SEARLE, my cousin, also from Annat. He is also a cousin to the A C SEARLE featured. Ian PINER (16/10/2010)
